About
Adjunct professor Daniel Agardh is pediatric gastroenterologist and head of the Type 1 diabetes & Celiac disease Unit at Lund University, which is located at the Clinical Research Center in Malmö, Sweden. His research group leads several longitudinal observational screenings and clinical prevention trials in autoimmune disorders with emphasis on type 1 diabetes and celiac disease.
In HEDIMED, Daniel Agardh´s team has the responsibility to coordinate the working groups for type 1 diabetes, celiac disease and asthma/allergy with the aim to find disease specific and shared exposomes for all three outcomes. The ULUND-team consists of Carin Andrén Aronsson (PhD), dietician and study manager at the Type 1 diabetes & Celiac disease Unit, and Markus Lundgren (MD, PhD), a pediatric endocrinologist, both with affiliated Type 1 diabetes & Celiac disease Unit at Lund University. In addition, Senior professor Åke Lernmark (PhD) and Adjunct professor Helena Elding Larsson are ULUND partners in HEDIMED.

About
Adjunct professor Helena Elding Larsson is pediatric endocrinologist, head of the Pediatric Clinic at Skåne University Hospital and head of the Pediatric Endocrinology Unit at Lund University, at the Clinical Research Center in Malmö, Sweden. Her research group closely collaborates with the Type 1 diabetes & Celiac disease Unit at Lund University. Her research focuses on etiology, screening, and prevention of type 1 diabetes through large longitudinal observational screening studies and primary and secondary prevention studies.
In HEDIMED, Helena Elding Larsson will focus primarily on the type 1 diabetes outcome.

About
Senior professor Åke Lernmark is affiliated with the Type 1 diabetes & Celiac Disease Unit in the Department of Clinical Sciences at the Lund University Clinical Research Center in Malmö, Sweden. Dr Lernmark has long been interested in the etiology and pathogenesis of type 1 diabetes and associated autoimmune diseases. In particular he and his colleagues have identified HLA specificities that define disease risk and developed autoantibody biomarkers to predict disease.
In HEDIMED, Åke Lernmark is a member of the WP3 Ethics and Protection of Personal Data (EPPD) committee.
