EHEN newsflash

Our HEDIMED representatives took part in EHEN network meeting in Barcelona in May. With several abstracts, presentations, project updates and working group sessions being held, the highly interesting scientific meeting was received beneficial and inspiring. The event was hosted by Equal-Life and ATHLETE projects, and the next one will now be hosted by LongITools and EXIMIOUS, following the rotation of the coordination role of EHEN. The people of HEDIMED are already looking forward to an upcoming meeting, that will be held on 30 May- 1 June 2023 in Leuven!

We are delighted that all the 9 EHEN projects have now their profile papers published in the journal of Environmental Epidemiology. The full summary of the profile publications can be found in the EHEN news section.

The EHEN projects, including HEDIMED, have recently been working on their publicly available toolboxes. A collection of EHEN toolboxes will be made soon to the EHEN Virtual Toolbox page. The toolboxes feature various tools from risk prediction models to healthcare risk assessment apps.

HEDIMED has actively participated in the reporting of the network, with a special focus on the Policy Strategy – Joint strategy for science to policy translation of the scientific evidence generated by the network. This report will be public once it is approved by the European Commission.

To keep you easily updated with EHEN’s progress, remember to read the EHEN newsletter. The second issue, which focuses on the exposome data, was released in April and third edition will be out soon and can be found here.
